First tiny home in Windsor – Located off the alley in the backyard of her house in the 500 block of Bruce Avenue, it’s among the first of what many foresee as a growing trend since city council made moves, starting in November 2018, to permit homeowners to add secondary suites and then a third residence onto their properties. The intent is to address the local affordable housing shortage by encouraging homeowners to add residences, called additional dwelling units (ADUs), to their properties.
